West Chester freshman Dallas Ely, a 2012 Montrose graduate, scored 14 points for the West Chester University women’s basketball team in an 83-43 victory at Slippery Rock on Dec. 18.

One night later, she netted a team-high 15 points in a 76-68 loss at Edinboro.

Ely has started six games for the Golden Rams this season and leads the team in scoring with 11.8 points per game. She also grabs 3.8 rebounds per game.

West Chester is 5-3 overall and 2-3 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division play.

Last season as a senior, Ely helped lead Montrose’s girls team to a berth into the PIAA Class AA quarterfinals, finishing the season with a 20-3 overall record.
