The Mountain View girls’ basketball team faced a 59-20 loss to Holy Redeemer on Thursday night in the opening round of the Pittston Tournament.

The Eagles were paced 10-6 in the first quarter and 12-0 in the second to be put to a 22-6 deficit at halftime.

In the second half, Redeemer continued to lead the way with a 29-5 third quarter, and took the win despite a 9-8 run from the Eagles in the fourth.

Mountain View was paced by Vic Sterling and Ariana Gabriel, who each scored seven points for the Eagles. Megan Getz scored six.
