The Eagles soccer team remained undefeated by blanking Riverside 13-0 at home Thursday, and Mid Valley, 9-0, at home Tuesday.

Zeb Cross led the Eagles’ offensive onslaught against Riverside with five goals and an assist, while Colby Thomas also chipped in with three goals and two assists in a game in which Mt. View outshot the Vikings, 40-3.

Dallas Pompey also added a goal and three assists for Mt. View, while James Goodenough chipped in three assists.

Bob Pfahl had three saves in his fourth consecutive shutout for the 10-0 Eagles.

Against Mid Valley, Thomas scored six goals, including four in the first half to lead the Eagles, who outshot the Spartans 37-2.

James Goodenough added two goals and two assists and Cross chipped in a goal and assist for Mt. View.

Bobby Pfahl had two saves to earn his third consecutive shutout.

ELK LAKE
The Elk Lake boys’ soccer team beat Forest City 3-1 on the road Thursday to improve to 6-3-1 on the season.

After falling behind 1-0, Bailey Tyler tied the score for the Warriors in the 9th minute off an assist from Tanner Reyan.

The game remained tied until the second half when Reyan added a goal of his own in the 48th minute off an assist from Ben Woolcock for a 2-1 lead. Woolcock also assisted on Blake Chew’s goal a minute late to seal the win.
Goalie Nick Dudock was kept busy and earned 19 saves in the net for the Warriors.

FOREST CITY
The Foresters soccer team lost 3-1 to Elk Lake at home Thursday, but blanked Riverside, 5-0, at home Tuesday and is now 5-5 on the year.

Forest City struck first in the 6th minute against Elk Lake with a Ryan Long goal, assisted by Logan McHale. However, the offense couldn’t find the net for the rest of the game, despite Forest City outshooting the Warriors, 21-16.

Jordan Hicks had 13 saves for the Foresters.

Against Riverside, Logan Drasler scored four goals, two of which came off assists from Long. Alex Kresock provided the other goal off a Cody Baresse assist.

Hicks had four saves in the net for Forest City in the win.

MONTROSE
The Meteors shutout Blue Ridge 2-0 at home Thursday and shutout Old Forge, 6-0, on senior night Tuesday to improve to 8-2 on the season.

Against Blue Ridge, the Meteors scored once in both halves. Todd Lattimore scored in the 37th minute off an Erik Burgh assist and Joe Griffiths scored unassisted in the 47th minute to lead the Meteors, who outshot Blue Ridge 34-3.

Justin Hartman picked up one save in goal in the win.

On senior night, the Montrose offense out-shot the Blue Devils 35-4 and spread the ball around throughout the game, as six different players scored a goal.

Senior Matt Lewis had a goal and two assists and Burgh chipped in a goal and assist for the Montrose offense.

Travis Birchard had two saves and split time with Justin Hartman, who had one save in the win.

BLUE RIDGE
The Raiders lost 2-0 at Montrose on Thursday and dropped to 3-7 overall.
Montrose fired 34 shots in the game, compared to only three by Blue Ridge. Brad Palmatier earned 14 saves in the net for the Raiders.
