Elk Lake blanks Blue Ridge

The Warriors eked out a 1-0 shutout win over Blue Ridge at home Friday after a 2-1 loss to Holy Cross Wednesday.

Tyler Arnold scored the unassisted goal in the 33rd minute while Nick Dudock earned three saves for Elk Lake, who improved to 4-2-1.

The Warriors’ offense was held in check until the waning moments their loss to Holy Cross.

Elk Lake’s Blake Chew scored the lone goal in the 78th minute off a 30-yard direct and Dudock had seven saves on goal.

MT. VIEW
The Eagles remained undefeated in Division III with a 6-1 win over Montrose at home Wednesday.

Colby Thomas scored four goals and Zeb Cross added two goals to go with three assists for Mountain View. Bobby Pfall and Jessie Griffin combined for 12 saves in the win.

FOREST CITY
The Foresters fell behind on two separate occasions (2-0 and 4-2) but rallied back and won 5-4 in overtime at Dunmore Wednesday.

Alex Kresock netted the game-winner at the 12:50 in overtime off an assist from Logan McHale to earn the win. Wayde Loomis scored twice and Logan Drasler added a goal and an assist for Forest City, who improved to 3-3 overall.

Jordan Hicks had 12 saves for the winners.

BLUE RIDGE
The Raiders fell to Elk Lake 1-0 Friday and at Lakeland 5-2 Wednesday are 3-4 overall.

Brad Pamlatier had seven saves in net for Blue Ridge.

Lakeland scored five first half goals, while Blue Ridge was held scoreless. Matt Hugaboom scored in the 67th minute off an assist from Corbin French, who added an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.

Palmatier had 16 saves for the Raiders.
