Endless Mountains Archery on Valley Road in Forest Lake Township has been catering to hunters for the past 19 years.

Since 1994, Jeff Scavazzo and Lorraine Klune, have offered hunters a complete experience from bows and arrows to hunt with and lessons on how to use the equipment to deer processing once the hunt is over.
The store offers crossbows, compound bows and genesis bows, along with sights, arrows, scents, deer and turkey calls, shooting targets and more.

“I’d say we have the biggest selection of broadheads and arrows in a 60-mile radius,” Scavazzo said.
The business started with Scavazzo, a butcher by trade, opening a deer processing facility on his property. He and Klune added the

archery store later that same year.

In addition to sales, there is an indoor shooting range at Endless Mountains Archery, where hunters can try out bows before buying them, and also come in the practice once they have made their choice.

The business also hosts a spring/summer league as practice for children in the National Archery in the Schools program.

That program starts in May and runs for 12 weeks.

“It’s great for getting kids interested in archery,” Klune said. “Kids love the competition.”
Endless Mountains Archery is a license Hoyt dealer, and also does repairs for customers on a variety of bows.

“We really pride ourselves on service and selection,” Scavazzo said. “If it’s in a Cabella’s catalog, chances are we have it in our store.”

Scavazzo said that since crossbow hunting became legal three years ago, people starting gaining a larger interest.

“I’d say I sell four crossbows to every one compound bow,” Scavazzo said. “A lot of older guys want crossbows. They are easier to use.”

In addition to the archery league, Endless Mountains will host its second annual Soldiers Angels benefit on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be an archery shoot, five mile run and one mile walk.

All proceeds will be donated to the Solders Angels charity. Last year, the business raised more than $4,000 dollars with the help of 10 sponsors. This year, there will be 22 sponsors.

Scavazzo said that business starts ramping up for Endless Mountains after the July 4 holiday each year.
“It’s when people come in to make upgrades or get repairs done,” Scavazzo said.

He said the range starts to get busy in late summer as well.

“The range is open whenever the business is open,” Scavazzo said. “People can make appointments to come to the range as well.”

He also noted that the range is open for kid’s parties.

With the variety of offerings at the business, Scavazzo said things can get pretty hectic during deer season.

“It’s tough when we’re in the middle of deer season trying to get all the deer done and have the archery store open for customers,” Scavazzo said.

That’s why, Scavazzo and Klune opened up a second smaller shop in the meat processing area.

“It’s all about getting in what the customers want,” Scavazzo said. “We want personalized customer relationships.”

People from all over the region has caught on to the service that Endless Mountains Archery and Scavazzo’s Custom Deer Processing offers.

“We get people from Vermont, Massachusetts and New York on a regular basis,” Scavazzo said. “I’d say about 40 percent of our customers come from N.Y., with the rest coming from Pennsylvania and other areas.”

The business is also looking to expand its offerings worldwide, with the possibility of an online store in the future.
