The Mountain View girls’ soccer team improved its record to 7-0-1 with a 2-0 victory over Montrose Area in Montrose on Wednesday afternoon.

Megan Getz scored unassisted at 8:19 in the first half and Jenny Molenko scored off an assist from Hannah Richner at 42:35 in the second to help the Eagles to a victory.

Caity Tague made six saves as the Eagles took 18 shots on goal and had one corner kick.

Montrose’s Anna Churco made 16 saves for the Meteors while the team had six shots and two corners.

Also last week, Mountain View grabbed a 12-0 victory over Dunmore at home on Saturday to improve to 8-0-1 on the season.

Molenko had four goals, Steph Virbitsky had a goal and three assists and Richner had a hat trick as Mountain View picked up the shutout.

The Lady Eagles took 41 shots on goal and had six corners while goalies Tague and Hannah Phillips combined for no saves.

Forest City

The Forest City girls’ soccer team traveled to Elk Lake Tuesday where the Foresters picked up a 6-1 win over the Warriors.

Meagan Goben had two goals and two assists to lead Forest City to the victory.

Carly Eardman, Katherine Pecko, Alexis Piasecki and Mackenzie Keller also scored for the Foresters.

Elk Lake’s lone goal came from Kaitlin Raines at 47:17.

Forest City took 23 shots on goal with three corner kicks while goalie Kaylie Gigliotti had one save.

Elk Lake had two shots on goal and one corner while goalie Lindsay Dudock had 16 saves.

The Elk Lake girls’ soccer team was handed a 1-0 shutout from Dunmore in a game played on the road on Wednesday.

Elk Lake held Dunmore scoreless for the majority of the game until Aileen Walsh found the goal at 73:00.

Elk Lake’s Lindsey Dudock had nine saves while the Warriors took five shots on goal and had three corner kicks.
