Locals to play in ‘Dream Game’

Several local graduating senior football players will get a chance to showcase their skills one last time playing in the 78th annual Scranton Lions Club Dream Game.

The game will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Scranton Memorial Stadium.

Representing Montrose will be offensive/defensive lineman Jordan Christiafaro, wide receiver/defensive back Jeremy Dibble and guard/defensive end Chris Spoehr.

From Susquehanna will be wide receiver/defensive back Austin Cowperthwait, running back linebacker Jesse Pruitt and guard/defensive lineman Gage Piechocki.

The City Team also features players from Delaware Valley, Dunmore, Holy Cross, North Pocono, Scranton, Scranton Prep, Wallenpaupack and West Scranton. The team is coached by Delaware Valley’s Keith Olsommer.

The locals will face off against the County Team, coached by Mid Valley’s Frank Pazzaglia, featuring players from Abington Heights, Lackawanna Trail, Honesdale, Carbondale, Lakeland, Mid Valley, Old Forge, Riverside, Valley View and Western Wayne.
