The Blue Ridge girls’ basketball team was bumped from the District II Class A playoffs after a 34-29 overtime loss to MMI Prep on Saturday.

The Raiders came out to a 7-4 lead over MMI after the first quarter, and after being outscored 6-5 by MMI in the second, led 12-10 at halftime.

In the third quarter,Blue Ridgewas paced 9-6 by MMI, but after leading the way, 9-8, in the fourth sent the game into overtime.

However, it was MMI that came out on top as the Preppers led the Lady Raiders 7-2 in extra minutes.

Jackie Furch ledBlue Ridgewith 10 points while Jenna Rupakus had seven and J. Bennett scored five.

Blue Ridgefinishes its season with a 2-20 overall record.
