The county commissioners held an organizational meeting on Monday, Jan. 4, after being sworn into office.

Commissioner Alan Hall will serve again as the chair; with Elizabeth Arnold elected vice-chair.

Commissioner meetings will be held on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month, at 9 a.m., in the commissioners’ meeting room in the county courthouse.

Salary, election and retirement board meetings will be held as necessary or required following the commissioners’ meetings. If the meeting day falls on a holiday, the board may or may not convene on the following day.

R.S. Stoud was appointed chief clerk. In addition to his position as Director of Public Safety, Stoud has also been serving as the acting chief clerk.

County Treasurer Jason Miller was named as the Director of Tax Claim.

Linda LaBarbera was appointed as the public defender.

The jail board will meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room.

The assessment hearing board will convene on the first Thursday of each month.

The commissioners accepted the resignation of Tom Meagher from the county solicitor post and Michael Giangrieco was appointed county solicitor, effective Jan. 4.
