SCCTC hires graduate

The board of directors of the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center hired a recent graduate as a full-time paraeducator Monday.

SCCTC Director Alice Davis was absent from the meeting.

Cody Franklin, who graduated in June as an adult learner from the school’s cosmetology program, will be working with SCCTC students as a one-on-one tutor and classroom aide.

The board approved a compensation plan transfer for Amy Cook. Dr. Ken Cuomo said that Cook had been working under a compensation plan in the past, and that the school is now transferring her to secretary listing. “Her salary is already in the budget,” Cuomo said.

A list of auto body shop supplies and bids received was presented to and approved by the board, The list included 191 items, totaling $10,386.57. The monthly bills for the student built house totaled $7,751.17.
