Local residents Bill and Brenna Aileo issued a challenge during the month of December, offering up a “New Building Fundraising Challenge.” The longtime supporters of the Susquehanna County Historical Society & Free Library Association wanted to encourage businesses and other library friends to encourage others to donate in support of the campaign to construct a new library.

Last week Edgar Warriner, Chair of the Susquehanna County New Library Building Fund Committee, accepted a
check for $25,000 from Brenna and Bill Aileo to match the $25,000 in donations that have come in during the past month as a part of their Challenge.

Handwritten thank you notes are ready to be mailed from Brenna and Bill to express their appreciation to all those who generously donated to the fund.
