A hearing date has been set for the man Montrose police say operated a drug lab out of an apartment on Public Avenue.

Anthony Olszewski, 37, Montrose, is scheduled to appear in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey Hollister, Monday, Dec. 17.

Olszewski was charged by Montrose Chief Dale Smith with operating a methamphetamine lab and delivery or intent to deliver drug paraphernalia in connection with the Oct. 11 incident.

Olszewski is being held in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail, according to court documents.

Four other people also face charges in connection with the case.

Salvatore Gentile Jr, 45; Jeremy Truckenbrod, 23, Scranton; and Haley Dupuis, 22, Owego, N.Y., each face conspiracy charges in the case and waived their preliminary hearings.

Angel Powers, 33, Montrose, also faces conspiracy charges, She is scheduled to appear in Montrose District Court on Monday, Dec. 17.

According to the affidavit, Gentile told police that Olszewski brought the methamphetamine making equipment to his apartment.

Gentile also told police that he, along with Powers, Truckenbrod and Dupuis had all contributed to obtaining the items needed to manufacture the drug, according to the complaint.

The alleged drug activity was discovered after police received an Oct. 11 report that a woman was acting suspiciously in the town and was not wearing shoes, according to the affidavit. The woman was identified in the affidavit as Dupuis.

According to the affidavit, Dupuis told police that Olszewski and Gentile went to another room to make the drugs and afterwards all involved used the methamphetamine.

Drug paraphernalia was discovered inside the apartment, according to the affidavit, including a bag containing equipment and empty packages of substances used in the production of methamphetamine.
