The Susquehanna County Council of Republican Women held its annual Christmas Social at the Green Gables, New Milford, on Sunday, Dec. 2, with President Marion O’Malley doing the introductions.

Attending from neighboring counties were Glona Gebert, Ginger Golden and Frank Golden from Wayne County; and Roseanne Gaetano from Lackawanna County.

Susquehanna County Chairman John Kameen and other County Committee officers, Treasurer Donna Cosmello and Secretary Carolyn Paccio were introduced along with State Rep. Sandra Major, R-111th Dist.; and State Committee members Dianne Burman and Mike Redding.

County office holders were: District Attorney Jason Legg; Sheriff Lance  Benedict; Coroner Tony Conarton; Prothonotary  Susan Eddleston; Register and Recorder Mary Evans; Treasurer Cathy Benedict; Auditors Holly Bialy and Sue Jennings.

Major stepped forward to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and to thank everyone for all their hard work in getting out the vote in the General Election.  In turn Major was thanked for all she does for Susquehanna County.

Kameen also remarked on the great turnout in November and thanked all those who worked to make Susquehanna one of the top counties in the state getting out the Republican voters.

The SCCRW’s Teddy Bear project and the scholarship given to a county graduate were brought to the attention of those attending. “We are not asking for money today, but bring extra money to the next event,” O’Malley said.
