Warrior field hockey splits week

The Elk Lake field hockey team faced a 3-1 loss at GAR on Thursday after the team took a 5-0 victory over Montrose in Dimock on Tuesday.

Against GAR, the Grenadiers got ahead 2-0 early in the first half before CJ Bevan would score with an assist from Dakotah Sherman to make it 2-1. However, the Warriors couldn’t muster up any more scoring and GAR took the win, adding a second half goal.

ElkLakehad six corners and goalie Luke Myers had two saves.

Facing Montrose, Bobbi Kelder scored two goals forElkLakewhile C.J. Bevan added a goal and two assists to lead the way for the Warriors.

Also scoring forElkLakewas Cheyann Kelder and Steven Paskalitis.

ElkLakehad 11 shots on goal and nine corners while goalie Brooke Seamans had 11 saves.

Montrose took 20 shots on goal and had three corners while racking up 22 saves.
