Miranda’s Rainbow tourney returns

The Second Annual Miranda’s Rainbow Baseball Tournament will be held July 22-28 at the Rush Athletic Field inLawtonin conjunction with the Susquehanna County Little League Association.

The tournament was created last year by Vanessa Otis as her senior project.

The week’s activities raise money for a scholarship in memory of her friend Miranda Larnerd to promote suicide awareness.

Last year’s scholarship fund raiser gave Elk Lake seniors, Samantha Fergusson and William Bennett, $500 each.

The first day of games will coincide with a chicken barbeque, Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle.

The 50/50 raffles continue nightly from July 23 to July 27. Finals on Saturday, July 28, will see another Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle.

Come out and support a great cause. Donations can also be made at any First Liberty Bank under Miranda’s Rainbow.
