A 25-year-old Montrose area man admitted to his role in two drugstore burglaries in Susquehanna County Court on Friday, June 29.

Ian Ball also entered guilty pleas in three other cases – a felony drug possession with intent to deliver; receiving stolen property; and theft by unlawful taking.

District Attorney Jason Legg said that in exchange for the guilty pleas, Ball would receive concurrent sentences in the county correctional facility.

Legg also said Ball had been instrumental in helping police solve a number of open cases.

Ball admitted to stealing 1000 Vicodin tablets from the Lenox Pharmacy in a Sept. 6, 2011. Co-defendants in the case, Chris Race and Ezra Decker, are awaiting trial on burglary charges.

He also pleaded guilty to the Sept. 23, 2011, burglary of Miller’s Pharmacy in Wyalusing. TheBradfordCountycase was transferred toSusquehannaCountyafter it was discovered it was tied to another pharmacy break in in Montrose.

From Miller’s, Ball, along with co-defendant Derek Stang took 1000 Vicodin tablets and 100 Oxycodone. Stang is awaiting sentencing on burglary counts in Susquehanna County court.

Police discovered Ball Oct. 2, 2011, in possession of 230 hydrocodone pills in a car in a parking lot on Rt. 706, Bridgewater Twp.

Ball also admitted to stealing from his family members in order to support his drug habit.

A .20-gauge shotgun and $50 was taken by from his grandfather Raymond Hunsinger on July 5, 2011; and valium, pills and scrap metal from the Hunsinger residence, Aug. 29-31, 2011.

Ball is scheduled to be sentenced on July 19.
