A Susquehanna man was killed Friday night after his vehicle struck a house along Rt. 171, Great Bend Twp.

Javier Cortes DeJorge, 24, died at the scene at about10 p.m.as a result of multiple traumatic injuries he received in the crash, Susquehanna County Coroner Anthony Conarton said. DeJorge was ejected from the vehicle.

An autopsy was performed Monday morning by Dr. Gary Ross at theNortheast ForensicCenter,Dunmore.

DeJorge was traveling south on the road at Red Rock and failed to negotiate a left hand curve and exited the roadway; struck a drainage ditch causing the Volkswagen Beetle to roll over.

The car then continued through a yard, hit a tree and then a house.

No one in the residence was injured.

Great Bend Fire and EMS also assisted at the scene.
