Dallas Ely is a senior basketball player for the Montrose Area School District.  She has been nominated for the athlete of the week.

Not only did the senior point guard lead Montrose to a 54-28 victory overForestCity, but she also became the Lady Meteors all-time leading scorer with 1395 career points.

Her 30 points Thursday night helped her eclipse the mark set in 1980 by former girls basketball coach Ellen Mulligan.

“She has put a lot of time and effort into her basketball skills in the off season and this is paying off this season,”   said Coach Al Smith.

Dallas’s parents are Bud and Connie Ely.
