EMTC stages spine-tingling tales

Fall’s crisp air won’t be sole cause of the chill you feel running up your back, as Endless Mountains Theater Company stages its original production of “Tales of Dark Imagination/ The Strange Case Book of Dr. Lazarus” this weekend.

The play – a series of three, one-act vignettes – was written and directed by local playwright David Schmidt and is adapted from the works of Edgar Allen Poe.

The character of Dr. Lucinda Lazarus, played by Diana Wayman, can see and communicate with the ghosts around her and is the foremost authority on the supernatural.

She uses her ability to help the living and the dead find peace, Schmidt said.

Dr. Lazarus presents the three spine-tingling cases to the audience.

Performances will be held Oct. 21-23 atSt. Paul’s Episcopal Church,Church St., Montrose. Show times are slated for Friday and Saturday evening at7 p.m.; and Sunday at3 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for general admission; and $8 for students and seniors.
