Montrose Area girls’ basketball player Dallas Ely has been named to the Scranton Times-Tribune All-Region girls’ basketball team.

Ely, a slick ball-handler with a deadly shooting eye helped the Lady Meteors win their first 17 games en route to capturing the Lackawanna League Division III championship.

She scored her 1,000th point against arch-rival Elk Lake and averaged 16.8 points per game in the regular season.

Ely then averaged 22 points per game in the District II playoffs. She is a First-Team All-Region selection and was also named Player of the Year by Lackawanna League Division III coaches.
