A restaurant franchise well-known for its all-day breakfast offerings like the \u201cGrand Slam\u201d and \u201cMoons Over My Hammy\u201d is making its debut in Susquehanna County.<\/p>\n

Following a complete renovation of the former Country Market restaurant area, franchise owner Hardy Gill said Denny\u2019s opened its doors for service Monday in the Flying J Plaza, off I-81 at the New Milford\/Gibson exit.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is a new local addition to the more than 1,500 franchise locations found nationwide and one of 140 new Denny\u2019s slated to open in Flying J Travel Centers in the next two years as part of the company\u2019s July 1 merger with Pilot Travel Center LLC.<\/p>\n

Gill said an official grand opening will take place within the next few weeks but did not have any further details about the event at press time.<\/p>\n

In addition to the New Milford location, Gill owns several other Denny\u2019s in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

The addition of the Denny\u2019s restaurant at the location was part of the Pilot-Flying J merger plans announced in July.<\/p>\n

The company is now officially known as Pilot Flying J and is now the largest retail operator of travel centers in North America with 550 locations.<\/p>\n

Although the companies have combined, the travel center at the I-81\/Gibson exit \u2013 as well as the other Flying J centers in the nation – will continue to operate under the Flying J sign.<\/p>\n

Likewise, Pilot Travel Centers will continue to remain known to consumers as Pilot.<\/p>\n

Flying J., Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Dec. 2008.<\/p>\n

After the merger with Pilot in July, Flying J. Inc. announced the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved Flying J\u2019s plan of reorganization that provides for the full repayment of its creditors.<\/p>\n
