Blue Ridge<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Blue Ridge\u2019s girls\u2019 volleyball team took a 3-0 win over Montrose on the road Thursday after it grabbed a 3-2 win over Susquehanna on Tuesday at home.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Blue Ridge grabbed a 25-21 win in the first game, before taking a 26-24 win in the second game to make it 2-0.<\/p>\n

The Raiders then notched the win with a 25-13 victory in the third game over the Meteors.<\/p>\n

Kaitlyn Krug had seven aces and seven kills and Ashley Warren had five assists to lead the Raiders. Lexa Smith added five kills.<\/p>\n

For Montrose, Katie Swingle had eight kills, Marissa Robinson had nine assists and five digs and Brooke Malloy had five digs and three kills.<\/p>\n

In the first game, Blue Ridge beat the Sabers 25-11 before Susquehanna battled to make it 1-1 with a 25-17 victory.<\/p>\n

In the third game, Blue Ridge took back the lead with a 25-18 win, and again the Sabers tied the score with a 25-23 victory in the fourth game.<\/p>\n

However, Blue Ridge capped off the win with a 15-10 victory in the fifth and final game.<\/p>\n

Krug had four blocks, five aces and five kills and Warren had nine assists and four aces for Blue Ridge. Courtney Ucci chipped in two aces and 10 kills.<\/p>\n

For Susquehanna, Danielle Barnes had five kills and six aces, Mary Kemmerer had five kills and two blocks and Devin Breese had four kills and five aces for Susquehanna.<\/p>\n

Mountain View<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mountain View\u2019s Lady Eagle volleyball team took a 3-0 loss from Lackawanna Trail at home on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

In the first game, Trail got off to a 25-19 win before taking the second game with another 25-19 win to bring the tally to 2-0.<\/p>\n

In the final game, Trail knocked Mountain View 25-13 to bring home the victory.<\/p>\n

Kayla Kazmierski had eight kills, Melissa Monahan had six kills and Christina Voorheis had 10 assists for the Eagles.<\/p>\n

Forest<\/strong> <\/strong>City<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Forest City girls\u2019 volleyball team took a 3-1 victory over Susquehanna on the road Thursday, but faced a 3-1 loss at Dunmore on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Forest City took a 25-17 victory over the Sabers in the first game, before Susquehanna would come back with a 25-18 win in the second game to tie it up at one win apiece.<\/p>\n

In the third game, the Foresters grabbed a 25-17 win to regain the lead and capped off the night with a 25-16 victory in the final game.<\/p>\n

Kiersten Collins had 15 kills and two blocks, Jessica Strickland made seven kills and six digs and Courtney Andrews added 19 assists and six kills to pace Forest City.<\/p>\n

Ashley Sweeney and Katelyn Halesky led Susquehanna with three kills apiece.<\/p>\n

In the first game, Dunmore got off to a strong start beating the Foresters 25-21, before taking a 25-13 win over the Foresters in the second game.<\/p>\n

Forest City battled back to a 25-23 victory in the third game, before Dunmore finished it off with a 25-13 victory in the final game.<\/p>\n

Andrews had 14 assists and two kills, Sarah Forsette had five kills, two blocks and seven assists and Collins had seven kills and four blocks for the Foresters.<\/p>\n

Montrose<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Montrose Lady Meteors faced Western Wayne to a 3-1 loss in a game played on the road on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

In the first game, Western Wayne started strong with a 25-20 victory before Montrose tied things up, topping the Wildcats 25-23 in the second game.<\/p>\n

Western Wayne then took a 25-19 win in the third game, and finished off the Meteors with a 25-12 win in the fourth game.<\/p>\n

Katie Swingle had eight kills and Brooke Malloy had six digs for Montrose.<\/p>\n

Elk<\/strong> <\/strong>Lake<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Elk Lake\u2019s girls\u2019 volleyball team faced a 3-0 shutout from Lackawanna Trail on the road on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Facing Trail, the Lions got off to a hot start taking a 25-8 victory over the Warriors in the first game, followed by a 25-19 win in the second game.<\/p>\n

The Lions then finished off the game with a 25-16 win over the Warriors in the final game.<\/p>\n

Elk Lake\u2019s Carley Bennett had four kills and two digs while Cassie VanEtten had four assists and two kills and six points.<\/p>\n
