Bennett is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.<\/p>\n<p>Bennett\u2019s attorney, Marc Darfomal requested the continuance.<\/p>\n<p>Susquehanna County detectives executed a search of Bennett\u2019s house and property on Friday, Aug. 27.<\/p>\n<p>The search team, comprised of county detectives and state police, seized 276 marijuana plants that were growing in four separate plots adjacent to the residence.<\/p>\n<p>According to the affidavit, the plants ranged from four to eight-feet tall.<\/p>\n<p>An additional 31 marijuana plants in the process of being dried were seized from a truck trailer on the property.<\/p>\n<p>A dump truck from the state Dept. of Transportation was used to haul the plants from the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Also seized were multiple bags of processed marijuana; assorted drug paraphernalia; stalks and growing magazines.<\/p>\n<p>According to the affidavit, Bennett stated that the items seized were all his and that he had been growing marijuana at the residence for the past three to four years.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the felony manufacturing charges, Bennett also faces misdemeanor possession charges.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_262\" style=\"width: 402px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/independentweekender.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Drug-Bust.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-262\" class=\"size-full wp-image-262 \" title=\"Drug-Bust\" src=\"http:\/\/independentweekender.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/Drug-Bust.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"392\" height=\"273\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-262\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A PennDOT dump truck was used to haul away over 300 marijuana plants seized from the John Bennett residence, Dimock, on Aug. 27.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY STACI WILSON The preliminary hearing was continued for a Dimock man facing felony three drug manufacturing charges.
