\u201cIt is only when you step outside of your personal comfort zone that you will the most and reap the greatest rewards,\u201d Class of 1991 Valedictorian Carrie Troup Wurpel told the 2016 Susquehanna Community graduates.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have a sense of comfort here at Susquehanna,\u201d she said at the graduation ceremony held Saturday.<\/p>\n

Wurple spoke about her climb up Mount Kilamanjaro. Although cold and windy, she said, \u201cWhat you learn about yourself is what you are capable of doing. You will find out you are stronger than you imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter where you come from \u2013 a small town like Susquehanna, or a big city \u2013 it is up to you to step outside and grow,\u201d she encouraged.
\nSalutatorian Nicole Sherman said, \u201cThis day marks out chance to find out who we really are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Valedictorian Alyssa Hubal said she has heard every one of her classmates say at least once: \u201cI cannot wait to leave this town.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut over the past few years,\u201d she continued, \u201cevery one of my classmates has had a setback that has shaped us. So I regret saying, \u2018I cannot wait to leave this town.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She advised her fellow graduates to, \u201cTake the opportunities you can to move forward and grow.\u201d<\/p>\n
