Academics, arts and athletics. Mountain View\u2019s graduation class excelled in all areas \u2013 personally and as a group.<\/p>\n

Salutatorian Alison Showalter said her classmates had put their \u201cheart and soul into this place.\u201d<\/p>\n

And as their high school journey ended Saturday, June 4, Showalter said, \u201cTake tie to remind yourself of all the things you loved about high school. Take it all in for one last time, because when we walk off this stage, it\u2019s truly over.\u201d<\/p>\n

High School Principal Robert Presley said the Class of 2016 would be missed. \u201cCherish your accomplishments and memories,\u201d he said, \u201cThey will last long after you leave these halls.\u201d<\/p>\n

Valedictorian Hannah Phillips said she faced a blank screen when trying to write her commencement address. \u201cYou spend years with a group of people, and yet have to think so hard at what to say in a moment like this. It\u2019s impossible to extend gratitude to everyone who touched our lives over the past 13 years,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Class Vice President Stephanie Ostir said, \u201cThe bonds we share as a class are special.\u201d She noted personal accomplishments, as well as times the group came together as a group. \u201cI\u2019m thankful to be a part of the Class of 2016. This is not \u2018good-bye\u2019 just farewell for \"WGSI_MtV_smile<\/a>\u00a0 now.\u201d<\/p>\n
