Elk Lake\u2019s George Sobeck sings a solo during \u201dGlory,” a gospel number completely composed during the Junior High County Chorus festival.<\/p><\/div>\n

Singers from five area schools joined their voices to raise a message of hope during the Susquehanna County Chorus concert Wednesday, Nov. 18.<\/p>\n

A mix of pop, traditional choral, patriotic, and inspirational music was chosen for the concert, but the final piece, “Hear My Song,” was especially poignant in light of the tragic events around the world in recent days.<\/p>\n

In the song, a mother soothes her child with a message of hope, tenderly and passionately worded.<\/p>\n

The Junior High chorus was led by Nino Bennici and accompanied by Michael O’Malley. The High School chorus was directed by Todd Christopher and accompanied by Tara Kasperowski.<\/p>\n
