The race is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13, and participants are encouraged to register early for this half marathon at the new race website, www.dhdistancerun.com.<\/p>\n<p>The website includes information on race day activities, the course, fees, training and how to contact the Rail-Trail if you would like to volunteer.<br \/>\nThe race gets underway at 9 a.m.,<\/p>\n<p>The 2015 run is filling up fast and registration will close when we meet our cap of 400 runners. The race committee is busy making plans to insure this will be our most successful half marathon yet. Our past success can be attributed to over 100 volunteers and emergency services personnel who donated their time and energy.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the race is to raise money for continued construction and maintenance of the D&amp;H Rail-Trail. one hundred percent of proceeds go back into the trail helping to further the development of this important community resource. Along with our volunteers, our sponsors are the foundation of our event.
