Work that needs to be corrected and improved on West Main Street in Susquehanna is being reviewed by borough council members and Pennsylvania American Water Company, following a water project on the street.<\/p>\n

Council expressed that they wanted corrections made before the next project begins in the area of Franklin, Prospect and 4th Ave.<\/p>\n

Photographs of the problems have been taken and were to be reviewed on Thursday, Aug. 13, Council President Joe Varsik said at the meeting held Wednesday, Aug. 12.<\/p>\n

One audience member spoke about an area in need of repair near the Christ Church.<\/p>\n

Varsik said, \u201cWe\u2019re trying to get that rectified,\u201d and noted the borough had photographs to review with PAWC.<\/p>\n

Councilman Roy Williams said the borough would be more involved in the upcoming project happening on borough-owned streets, acting as inspectors for the work.<\/p>\n

Council also discussed repairs of the announcement booth deck, stairs and a door at the Little League field and are looking to receive a few more quotes for the proposed work.<\/p>\n

Varsik suggested the borough work with the Little League for the repairs, suggesting a fundraiser to help offset costs.<\/p>\n

Williams said he would also get a price list for the materials and said that perhaps volunteers to make the needed repairs.<\/p>\n

Mayor Nancy Hurley reported a number of vehicle break-ins into unlocked cars around the borough.<\/p>\n

She reminded residents to lock their vehicle doors at all times.<\/p>\n
