The Elk Lake boys finished in 10th out of 13 teams with 50 points at the District 2 Class AA Swimming Championships held over two exciting days of swimming at the Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre.<\/p>\n

Dallas got its revenge after losing to Tunkhannock last year by just five points and won the district title with 283 points, despite none of its swimmers winning a gold medal.<\/p>\n

Scranton Prep, which finished in third place last season, took second with 272 points.
\nThe Elk Lake girls finished 11th out of the 12 teams with 38 points.<\/p>\n

Dallas also won the girls\u2019 title to earn the sweep with 271 points. Abington Heights came in second with 178 and Scranton Prep rounded out the top three with 157.<\/p>\n

BOYS<\/strong>
\nScranton Prep took control of the medal stand early ion the first day of competition, winning five of the first six events.
\nFor Elk Lake, sophomore Zach Mead finished seventh in the 200 IM on Friday and ninth in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, sophomore Mike Pettit fifth in the 500 free and 10th in the 100 free.
\nGIRLS<\/strong>
\nAfter seizing control on Friday, Dallas cruised to first with 271 points. Abington Heights took second with 178 and Scranton Prep finished in third with 157.
