{"id":14608,"date":"2015-03-04T21:18:04","date_gmt":"2015-03-04T21:18:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/independentweekender.com\/?p=14608"},"modified":"2015-03-04T21:18:04","modified_gmt":"2015-03-04T21:18:04","slug":"plea-entered-in-fatal-atv-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greenstreetdata.com\/PS\/2015\/03\/04\/plea-entered-in-fatal-atv-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Plea entered in fatal ATV crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>BY STACI WILSON<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 24-year-old Laceyville man admitted he was driving the ATV on the night his friend, a passenger in the vehicle, was killed.<\/p>\n<p>Cody Mosher pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated assault by motor vehicle while DUI; involuntary manslaughter and DUI in connection with a Aug. 29 crash in Auburn Twp. that claimed the life of Jeremy Mowry, 38, of Meshoppen.<br \/>\nMosher was driving the 2010 Polaris Ranger when is struck a stone wall, overturned and came to rest on its wheels, District Attorney Jason Legg told the court.<\/p>\n<p>Mosher\u2019s attorney George Lepley noted that his client is admitting to the facts in the case but has no recollection of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>As part of a plea agreement, Mosher will serve consecutive two, 2-1\/2- to year sentences in the county jail, and be eligible for work release.<\/p>\n<p>Legg said Mosher also agreed to meet with the victim\u2019s family in an impact meeting. \u201cThey\u2019re friends,\u201d Legg said. \u201cIt\u2019s been a difficult time for all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mosher was scheduled to be sentenced on March 19.
