BRADY TOWNER<\/p><\/div>\n

Brady Towner started playing basketball eight years ago. \u201cThe basketball coach saw me in gym class and asked me to play,\u201d he said about his start with the game.<\/p>\n

He fell in love with the sport and continues to play as a senior at Susquehanna. Towner is the Independent\u2019s Student Athlete of the Week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like the team aspect, it’s not an individual sport, everything one person does affects the entire team.\u201d says Towner.<\/p>\n

The Sabers haven\u2019t had a lot of success on the court this season, but that doesn\u2019t mean the players on the team aren\u2019t enjoying playing and developing their skills. Towner reports that the season has started out \u201cbetter than last year\u2019s – the team is very fundamentally sound.\u201d<\/p>\n

Towner keeps busy all year round by playing football and baseball for the Sabers and is also a weightlifter. Outside of sports, he donates his time and talents as a mentor and tutor for a seventh grade student at Susquehanna.<\/p>\n

Towner has some big plans for the future. \u201cI plan on attending Pittsburgh University for Architectural Engineering. I plan on entering into the Air Force as an officer after college.\u201d<\/p>\n
