Blue Ridge<\/strong>
\nAlthough he was recently sidelined with the flu, senior wrestler Dalton Hogle has been having a good season on the mat. His record is 20-5 at 145 pounds, and his goal is to win a District 2 championship this season.<\/p>\n

He has finished third at districts twice \u2014 at 120 pounds as a sophomore and at 138 pounds as a junior.
\n\u201cI just have to keep working hard, pushing myself more and remember what the end goal is,\u201d Hogle said.<\/p>\n

Hogle enjoys wrestling so much that he helps out as a coach with the Blue Ridge youth team.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a lot of fun,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s awesome to see them want to do better. Eventually, I\u2019ll get to see them grow up to become good wrestlers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Besides wrestling, Hogle is also a member of the track and field team, where he competes in the pole vault. He also is in the AP Club and Envirothon.<\/p>\n

After graduation, Hogle plans to attend York College and study criminal justice.<\/p>\n

Forest City<\/strong>
\nSenior Noah Fedak, captain of the basketball team, struggled through a difficult setback earlier in his career.<\/p>\n

During an AAU game in Philadelphia with his team, JB Hoops, in the summer prior to his sophomore season, Fedak sustained a torn ACL, effectively ending his AAU career and losing his sophomore high school season.<\/p>\n

Despite not playing that season, Fedak attended every game and practice and did what he could to help his teammates as they played through the 2012-2013 season.<\/p>\n

His commitment to his team was only interrupted by his dedication to his rehabilitation. Fedak required months of physical therapy to strengthen his muscles to assist his damaged surgically repaired ACL.<\/p>\n

If not for his physical therapist, Karen Non, and the staff at Pro Care, Fedak may never have returned to the game he loved.<\/p>\n

\u201cTearing my ACL and working with the people from Pro Care drove me to work hard enough to regain my chance to play basketball, but it also gave me an interest in the work they do,\u201d Fedak said.<\/p>\n

After graduation, Fedak plans to attend Temple, Widener or the University of the Sciences in the Philadelphia area and hopes to become a physical therapist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
