Police charged three people in a series of burglaries that spanned several months around the county, including thefts of Wounded Warrior Project donations, money from a church and candy from a baseball concession stand.<\/p>\n

Ryan Housen, 29, and Melinda Williams, 25, face charges in burglaries in Bridgewater, Dimock, Rush and Lenox townships. Charges were also brought against Joshua Calby, 32, in some of those cases.<\/p>\n

According to affidavits filed by Pennsylvania State Police Tpr. John Oliver last week, Housen and Calby were responsible for the April 22 break-in at the American Legion Post 154 in Dimock Twp.<\/p>\n

The two males were captured on the surveillance cameras, according to the affidavit. The cash register was damaged and the collection jars on the bar \u2013 earmarked to be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project \u2013 were taken.<\/p>\n

According to police, Williams dropped Housen and Calby off at the Legion Post and waited for them to return.<\/p>\n

Police reported that Housen was cooperative when interviewed and acknowledged unsolved burglaries that he had taken part in, and identified Williams and Calby as co-conspirators on burglaries they allegedly took part in as well.<\/p>\n

Housen and Williams are also alleged to be responsible for an April 20-26 burglary at the Rush United Methodist Church in Rush Twp. The church safe was damaged and, according to the affidavit, about $40 in cash was taken from the church.<\/p>\n

On April 22-24, Housen told police he and Williams were responsible for the burglary at the Rush Baseball Complex in Lawton.
\nAccording to police, the couple stole about $200 worth of candy and a garbage can \u2013 valued at about $15.<\/p>\n

Housen and Williams are also charged with burglarizing Hillside Hair Salon in Bridgewater Twp. According to the affidavit, about $82 was taken from the salon and the door was damaged.<\/p>\n

Police have also charged the ring with burglaries at several cabins and lake cottages and when interviewed by police, Housen took responsibility for a large number of incidents and turned over several items to the state police.<\/p>\n

Among the items turned over to police were two lithophane lamps taken from a cabin on Loomis Lake Rd., Bridgewater Twp., Oct. 1, 2013-April 30.
\nAn antique sword was also turned over to police. The sword was reported stolen, as well as two coffee makers, from a cabin on Big Elk Lake in Dimock Twp. The theft occurred April 1-30.<\/p>\n

Calby was also implicated, with Housen and Williams, in an April 1-30 burglary at a home on Little Elk Lake in Dimock Twp. in which a .22 caliber pistol, money, jewelry, silver certificates, a digital camera and a glass oil lamp were taken from the residence.<\/p>\n

According to the affidavit, Housen told police that Calby had traded the stolen pistol for heroin at a drug house in Wilkes-Barre.<\/p>\n

Other burglary and theft charges had been filed in June against Housen, Williams and Calby.<\/p>\n

All three are scheduled to appear for preliminary hearings in Montrose District Court on July 21.<\/p>\n
