Blue Ridge placed fourth in the event.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Montrose won three events including the 1,600 relay which featured Allison Lewis, Timm, Emma Griffiths and Myra Lattimore.<\/p>\n<p>In her individual event, Lewis stormed to a huge early lead in the 400 and repeated by winning the gold in 59.17.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI usually have trouble with my start and my coaches are always telling me to get out fast,\u201d Lewis said. \u201cI wanted to make sure that when I started the race, I was completely focused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt like I hit a wall in the home stretch and my legs felt like Jell-O, but I knew I had to finish the race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also determined to repeat, Lattimore repeated as champion in the 200, running a time of 26.35.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12768\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/independentweekender.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/WGSI_3200Relay_EL_Mon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12768\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-12768\" alt=\"Elk Lake took home first in the 3200 relay, with the Lady Meteors placing third.
