Elk Lake’s Adam Phillips is off toBucknellUniversityto compete in the PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships this weekend.

In Class AA, Phillips, a two-time medal winner, is seeded third in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.49 that was just off a District 2 record.QuakerValleysenior Bobby Francis, 58.44, andShadySideAcademy’s Grant Zentgraf, 58.60, are the top two.

Phillips is also seeded seventh in the 200 individual medley with his time of 2:00.11.

Last year, Phillips picked up a pair of seventh place medals in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM at the state championships.

Class AA action is slated to take place Friday, Mar. 16, and Saturday, Mar. 17, at the Kinney Natatorium atBucknellUniversityin Lewisburg.
