A Mountain View teacher allegedly had sex with one student and sent naked photos of herself to others using the social media app, Snapchat.

Megan Fae Clough, 29, of Downs Rd., Great Bend Twp., faces one felony count of institutional sexual assault after she allegedly had sexual intercourse with a male student March 12 at her home. She was arraigned Friday in front of Magisterial District Court Judge Jodi Cordner and released on unsecured bail.

The allegations came to light after a parent reported to High School Principal Robert Presley that Clough was sending naked pictures of herself to male students, as well as having a sexual relationship with a student. Presley provided names of students who allegedly received the naked pictures to police.

In an interview June 8 with police, a Mountain View 11th grader admitted he had a naked photo of Clough on his cell phone. The photo, a picture of a female exposing her genital area, had a caption of “how is this something you want to see.” The student told police he had the picture on his device because Clough had sent it to another student using the social media app “Snapchat.”
With the app, messages and pictures disappear after several seconds unless the recipient saves the message. If a message is saved, the sender is notified that the message or photo had been saved.

The student told police that the recipient didn’t want Clough to see he saved the photo, so he had him take a picture of the photo with his phone.

A 12th grade male also told police Clough had sent him five or six naked pictures; and also admitted he had sex with the teacher at her home on March 12.

Police interviewed Clough who, according to the affidavit, admitted to having intercourse with the student one time in her bed. Clough told police, “I guess I kind of had feelings for (the student).”

She also told police she had sent the naked picture to one male because he had asked her to send it to him.

Mountain View Superintendent Karen Voigt said Clough has been suspended without pay pending resolution of the matter. Clough has been employed as a high school learning support teacher in the district for three years.

Clough is scheduled to appear June 29 for a preliminary hearing in New Milford District Court.
