A Susquehanna man will spend six to 12 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a child over the course of several years.
Edward Chandler, 42, will serve two, concurrent sentences on counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in state prison followed by 15 years probation. He will also be required to register as a sexual offender.
The Susquehanna County Independent does not identify the victims of alleged sexual assault.
According to court documents, the victim detailed numerous cases of abuse that took place in residences in Oakland Township and in Susquehanna beginning in 2004 when the victim was five years of age and continuing until she was 12.
Chandler has been held in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility since his arrest in August 2014.
Others sentenced Thursday, June 18, in the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas included:
Raymond Edward Swanson Jr., 27, of New Milford, PA to 15 months probation for Theft by Unlawful Taking in New Milford Township on May 26, 2014. Swanson also received one year probation to run concurrent with the above sentence for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in Lanesboro on March 16. Finally, Swanson received 15 months probation to run concurrent with the above sentences for Theft by Unlawful Taking in Thompson Township on April 24.
Timothy Matthew Holmes, 40, of Montrose, to 5 to 18 months in Susquehanna County Correctional Facility for Terroristic Threats in Jessup Township on April 26.
Shawnay Hunsinger, 25, of Montrose, to 18 months probation for Corruption of Minors in Apolocan Township on August 2, 2014.
