Montose was plagued by turnovers with seven of them in the first eight minutes. It was Jack Fruehan’s dominance under the basket that kept the Meteors in the

game.
Montrose dominated the sceond quarter, outscoring the Foresters by 10; but Forest City cut down the Meteor lead to three by the end of the third.
The Foresters had all the momentum going into the fourth quarter and Montrose fought to hang on to the little lead that they had. It didn’t take long for Fedak to score his only basket of the quarter, but it was the go-ahead basket which gave Forest City their first lead since the end of the first quarter.
In the final minutes of the game Brendan Buck scored a basket for the Meteors and then Austin Smith, scored his first and only basket of the game; a 3-pointer, which tied the score. Troy Ely was fouled and went to the line with only a few seconds left. He sank the first of two shots to give Montrose a one point lead.
With 2.1 seconds left in the game, Forest City inbounded the ball to Adam Kowalewski. As he went up to take the final and potentially game winning shot, Fruehan jumped and blocked the shot, securing the victory for Montrose.
The high scorer for Montrose was Ely with 15 points; Fruehan and Buck each added 10.
Forest City was led by Kowalewski and Fedak with 15 points.
