Polling place changes

BY STACI WILSON

The Susquehanna County Board of Elections convened Wednesday, Jan. 13 following the commissioners’ meeting.

Jeffrey Tyler, appointed to the board in place of Commissioner Alan Hall, was elected chairman. Hall has announced he is seeking election to the State House in the 111th District.

Commissioner Betsy Arnold was elected vice-chair of the board.

The election board approved temporary polling place changes for both Friendsville Borough and Liberty Twp.

Friendsville voters will again cast ballots at the Neumann Center in Choconut Twp., due to a heating fuel spill at the St. Francis Xavier Church Hall.

In Liberty Twp., voters will return this year to the Liberty Township Grange Hall, located at 5010 Creamery Rd due to ongoing construction and renovations at the Standfordville Baptist Church.
