District duals set
The past two seasons have seen the Kingston Armory host the District 2 Class AAA and AA duals championships the day before Super Bowl Sunday.
That, however, won’t be the case this year as District 2 has elected to go back to a two-day format for the events.
This year’s tournaments begin Feb. 3 at the site of the No. 1 seed from each of the Lackawanna League and Wyoming Valley Conference’s divisions.
Quarterfinal bouts will begin at 6 p.m. with first-round consolations and championship semifinals tentatively scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The action then continues Feb. 6 with both the Class AAA and AA tournaments coming to Pittston Area High School. The Class AA and AAA consolation semifinals will begin at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively. Class AAA and AA consolation finals are scheduled to take place at noon with championship matches scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
