Montrose, Elk Lake pick up wins

WGSI_bballThe Montrose and Elk Lake boys basketball teams picked up two wins each in play-action last week.

Montrose scored a 54-44 win over Mountain View and a 70-28 victory over Lackawanna Trail.

Elk Lake collected a 64-56 win over Mountain View and a 51-39 win over Forest City.

Forest City logged a 55-53 victory over Blue Ridge.

At Mid Valley, J.J. Glinsky scored 17 points to lead the second-ranked Spartans to a Division III-IV crossover win.

Roman Crisafulli added 13 points for the winners.

Ty Herbert led Blue Ridge with 20 points and Jeff Morris had 12.

At Forest City, Seth Tewksbury scored 20 points to lead Elk Lake in Division IV.

Cole Tyler had 17 points for the Warriors.

Jared Paulin led Forest City with 16 points.

At Mountain View, Brendan Buck scored 18 points to lead Montrose.

Todd Lattimore added 13 points for the Meteors.

Matt Lavin hit four 3-pointers and scored 20 points for Mountain View and Jesse Gerfin added 13 points.

Lackawanna Trail 44
Susquehanna 36
At Susquehanna, Steve Scioscia had 11 points to lead Lackawanna Trail.

Mason Deakin scored a game-high 15 points and Tyler Williams added 10 for Susquehanna.

Elk Lake 64

At Elk Lake, Seth Tewksbury scored 15 points to lead the Warriors to a Division IV win.

Bailey Newhart and Cole Tyler each scored 12 points for Elk Lake.

Matt Lavin scored a game-high 21 points, Cody Hollister scored 12 and Jesse Gerfin and Zeb Feduchak each added 11 and 10, respectively, for Mountain View.

At Forest City, Noah Yates scored 17 points to lead the Foresters.

Adam Kowalewski added 16 points, while Jared Paulin chipped in 14 for the winners.

Jeff Morris led Blue Ridge with 15 points.

At Lackawanna Trail, Todd Lattimore scored 26 points to lead Montrose.

Austin Smith added 13 points for the Meteors.

Steve Scioscia led Lackawanna Trail with 10 points.

At Carbondale, Joe Kilhullen scored 15 points to lead the Chargers to a Division III-IV crossover win.

Justin Potis had 12 points for the winners and Giovanni Mustica had 10.

Tyler Williams scored 17 points for Susquehanna and Garret Grausgruber added 10.
