Voters in Friendsville Borough and Liberty Township will cast their ballots in different polling places for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, election.
The Susquehanna County Election Board approved, Wednesday, Aug. 26, a polling place change in Liberty Twp. from the Stanfordville Baptist Church to the Grange Hall, located at 510 Creamery Rd.
Friendsville Borough voters will once again cast their ballots at the Neumann Center on SR 267 in Choconut Twp.
Since 2013, a heating fuel spill at the St. Francis Xavier Church Hall has made it necessary for the board to approve a temporary polling place change in the small borough.
In most years, the county commissioners also serve on the election board. But in commissioner election years, others are appointed the serve on the board.
Gary Marcho was named chairman; and Jeffrey Tyler will serve as the vice-chair. Nancy Panzera-Jackson is the third member of the 2015 board.
The election board meets following county commissioner meetings on an as needed basis.
