Brooklyn and Harford Historical Society’s joined together to create the Grand Marshal Trophy Winning first place float in the K-L-R Patriotic Parade.
The float was a recreation of the “Cloud Dance” held at the opening of the Martin Creek Viaduct 100 years ago.
The Martin Creek Centennial Celebration will be held Sept. 5-6 in Kingsley.
Others parade award recipients were:
2nd place: South Montrose Community Church;
3rd place: Candidate for County Commissioner Betsy Arnold float;
4th place: Evangelical Free Church;
5th place: Old Mill Village;
6th place: Cub Scout Pack 98.

Susquehanna County 4-H Clubs received the Ted Brzuskas Memorial Award, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Montrose to the float that best depicts “Service to Youth.”
