Montrose captured the title last season, but suffered a setback when Meghan Gilhool had to have ACL surgery following basketball season.
The Lady Meteors still gained the slight edge as the favorite over Elk Lake.
Madelyn Pasteka is a past All-Region performer in the high jump and Hannah Dieck is a returning District 2 Class AA medal winner in the triple and long jumps.
Elk Lake, as usual, will be strong in the distance races being led by district medal winners Kenzie Jones and Katie Bennett.
And Blue Ridge will be led by state qualifier Lindsey Rupakus in the hurdles, district medal winner Laurren Whitney in the javelin and Katherine Kempa in the sprints.
