BY STACI WILSON

A Montrose man was killed Tuesday, Dec. 30 in a one-vehicle crash on SR 29, in Franklin Twp. The crash investigation closed the road for several hours.

Leory Mulhollen Jr., 50, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his death was likely caused by traumatic injuries sustained in the crash.

According to police, the crash was not reported until about 8 a.m., but based on physical evidence found at the scene it is believed the crash happened hours earlier.

Mulhollen was traveling north when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle crossed the southbound lane and left the roadway. His Dodge Ram pickup truck traveled about 50-60 feet off the road and struck a tree head-on.
The crash happened about 1,000 feet north of Olszewski Rd.

Tpr. Steven Kozlowski investigated the fatal crash. Montrose EMS personnel assisted at the scene.
