Rabbit hunters discovered the body of Harriet Keim in a wooded area along Creek Road, in the Herrick Twp. area Thursday, Nov. 13.
Keim, age 84, went missing on Sept. 29 from her Airport Rd. home. She reportedly suffered from dementia but often walked along the roads near her residence.
Criminal investigators from the Gibson state police barracks were on the scene and determined it to be the body of Keim, according to a release issued by police.
An autopsy was scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday (Nov. 18), according to Susquehanna County Coroner Anthony Conarton.
At the time of her disappearance, police conducted an extensive search in the area for more than a week with the help of volunteers, search dogs and a helicopter.
