The Montrose area Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary Clubs (KLR) announced the winners of the float contest and entries for the Patriotic Parade held in Montrose on July 4 as part of the annual Independence Day celebration hosted by the three service clubs.
- Harford Cub Scout Pack 98 was awarded the Kiwanis’ Ted Brzuskas Memorial Award for the best float depicting service to children.

Third place: Kingsley Friends of Freedom, $100;
Fourth place: Weichert Realtors, $50;
Fifth Place: Old Mill Village, $50;
Sixth Place: Susquehanna County 4-H Clubs, $50.
The Montrose Area Kiwanis Club also sponsors the Ted Brzuskas Memorial Award for the best float depicting service to children. This year’s $100 award went to Harford Cub Scout Pack 98.
