Elk Lake splits in pool with rival

The Tunkhannock Area and Elk Lake boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams faced off in a rivalry meet in Dimock on Tuesday night with the Tiger boys and the Lady Warriors coming out victorious.

Tunkhannock’s boys defeated Elk Lake 97-70, while the Lady Warriors took a 90-81 victory over Tunkhannock’s girls.

Leading Tunkhannock’s boys was James Proulx, who had two individual wins and was part of two winning relay teams for the Tigers.

Elk Lake’s boys were paced by Adam Phillips with a pair of wins in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke.

The Lady Warriors were paced by Abby Zdancewicz with two individual wins and as a part of two winning relay teams.

Ashley Kasmierski and Kandis Venn paced the Lady Tigers, each with a pair of individual victories.
